Job Title

Associate Nurse Unit Manager (ANUM)

This position offers an exciting opportunity to join a dynamic mental health team at the Royal Adelaide Hospital, where you will play a pivotal role in shaping excellence in nursing care.

As an Associate Nurse Unit Manager, you will work closely with the Nurse Unit Manager and fellow ANUMs to drive quality improvement initiatives, lead practice development, and support staff growth and performance. You will have the autonomy to coordinate complex care, oversee clinical quality, and mentor less experienced nursing staff.

In this leadership position, you will be empowered to implement evidence-based practice, foster collaboration and inclusivity, and contribute directly to enhanced consumer outcomes. You will also have the opportunity to build your leadership capabilities and contribute to strategic operational priorities within one of SA Health's most dynamic mental health settings.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Coordinate complex care and oversee clinical quality
  • Mentor less experienced nursing staff and support their growth and performance
  • Implement evidence-based practice and foster collaboration and inclusivity
  • Contribute directly to enhanced consumer outcomes

Requirements:

  • Current registration with the Nursing & Midwifery Board of Australia
  • Recognised qualification in Mental Health Nursing (equivalent to Graduate Diploma)
  • Minimum three years post-registration experience or current classification as a Clinical Nurse
  • Proven ability to manage staff performance, provide clinical supervision, and implement service improvements
  • Hold current required clearances and be compliant with immunisation and vaccination requirements
