About the Roles

Join Central Adelaide Local Health Network's Mental Health Clinical Program (MHCP) and make a real difference in the lives of South Australians. We are currently seeking both Mental Health Nurses (RN1) and Clinical Nurses (RN2) to deliver compassionate, evidence-based care across a variety of inpatient and community settings.

Whether you're developing your skills or stepping into a leadership capacity, these roles provide the opportunity to work within multidisciplinary teams to support recovery-oriented care for people experiencing mental illness. You'll contribute to case management, education, group work, and collaborative service delivery - all while working in a supportive and values-driven environment that prioritises professional growth and consumer wellbeing.

Mental Health Nurse (RN1)

You're developing your mental health nursing career and ready to make a real impact in consumer recovery. You bring a compassionate, team-based approach and a willingness to grow within a dynamic, supportive environment.

  • Registered as a Nurse with the Nursing & Midwifery Board of Australia.
  • Holds a recognised mental health nursing qualification (e.g. Graduate Diploma).
  • Demonstrated skills in assessment, planning, and delivering recovery-focused care.
  • Appointment subject to vaccination and clearance requirements, including current WWCC and National Police Clearance.
Clinical Nurse (RN2)

You're an experienced mental health nurse who brings clinical expertise, leadership, and a commitment to continuous improvement. You thrive in a mentoring role and enjoy supporting both consumers and less experienced colleagues.

  • Registered Nurse with the Nursing & Midwifery Board of Australia and qualified in mental health nursing.
  • Minimum of three years post-registration experience in mental health settings.
  • Proven ability to lead clinical practice, supervise staff, and contribute to service development.
  • Appointment subject to vaccination and clearance requirements, including current WWCC and National Police Clearance.
