At AGL Energy, we're redefining the future of energy. As a Senior Project Engineer, you'll play a pivotal role in shaping our Commercial and Industrial Customers (C&I) Energy Solutions Team.

About the Role

We're seeking an experienced and innovative Senior Project Engineer to lead the design and technical sign-off for large complex projects. Your expertise will drive the delivery of operational objectives and project deadlines, while inspiring teams to problem-solve technical issues with internal and external stakeholders.

Key Responsibilities

  • Develop safe and efficient designs for Energy Solution projects, including Solar PV and Energy Storage systems, to meet industry and WHS standards.
  • Develop external scope of work for multi-disciplinary engineering services and manage service providers to deliver to these scopes.
  • Conduct Project Sign-Off and Safety Walks to ensure safe and quality installations.
  • Mentor and develop engineers in best practice design processes, industry standards, and AGL work practices and values.
  • Ensure safety in design principles are utilized wherever engineering work may have a downstream impact on the safety of people, property, or the environment.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering or Photovoltaic Engineering and Chartership with Engineers Australia (or actively seeking accreditation).
  • Experience in design and construction of major industrial and commercial rooftop solar systems up to 2MWp, ground mount solar systems, and integration into LV and HV infrastructure electrical systems.
  • Knowledge and experience with design and engineering software, such as solar modeling and electrical component specification software, NetSuite, Procore, and AutoCAD.
  • Well-developed, detail-oriented organization skills and good interpersonal and written/verbal communication skills.
