About the Role

As a Delivery Manager, you will play a key role in leading the design and delivery of multiple workstreams within operational risk management. The role will be responsible for initiative delivery and success, project governance activities in line with ANZ Delivery Framework, Investment Governance processes and best practice, effective change management, embedding activities and monitoring progress.

As a leader, you will be responsible for managing a small team to design and deliver multiple workstreams. You will also be responsible for managing key stakeholders, preparing and presenting project updates at required forums.

What will your day look like?

  • Delivering to the implementation roadmap and execution plan to sequence and achieve project objectives and deliverables
  • Managing a small team to design and deliver multiple workstreams
  • Managing key stakeholders, preparing and presenting project updates at required forums
  • Ongoing maintenance of project delivery schedule
  • Owning and managing project issues, risks and dependencies
  • Coordinating the management of dependencies, including competing priorities and sequencing of work to optimise team output
  • Applying standards, processes and activities that align to the ANZ Delivery Framework and Investment Governance processes
  • Building and maintaining effective relationships with colleagues, managers and key stakeholders, anticipating and responding to evolving stakeholder needs through effective communications.
  • Demonstrating ANZ values and building a customer focused culture, adapting own behaviour to changing demands, and fostering collaboration across teams / business units.

What will you bring?

To grow and be successful in this role, you will ideally bring the following:

  • Delivery and execution - proven track record in delivering initiatives within committed timeframes
  • Expert knowledge of project scheduling techniques and use of project scheduling tools (eg. Microsoft Project)
  • Expert knowledge of PMO / project management disciplines of risks, issues, dependency and governance.
  • Outstanding stakeholder engagement, negotiation and relationship building skills to develop close working relationships with Stream Leads, other Senior Project Managers, Program Director and business leads, to ensure positive and collaborative project delivery outcomes
  • Expertise in the use of different project delivery approaches including waterfall and agile.
  • Experience and use of Agile delivery principles and practices using the Atlassian suite of products, JIRA, Confluence etc.
  • High organisational skills, suitable to high paced complex program delivery environment.
  • An intense passion and curiosity for customers, their needs and wants, putting them at the centre of everything you do
  • Strong understanding of banking processes and systems
  • Strong understanding and good working knowledge of: Excel, Microsoft Word, Microsoft PowerPoint
