Senior Case Management Specialist

The Department of Justice and Community Safety is seeking a critical role in the Victorian Public Service. This position involves oversight of case management practices and provision of effective staff supervision, training, and mentoring across a service stream of residents, including violent and sexual offenders and post-sentence supervision.
You will work closely with internal and external stakeholders to provide direct line management, professional development, leadership, and supervision of a team of Specialist Case Managers. Key responsibilities include progressing and monitoring the shifting nature of violent and sexual offender management to align with best practice literature and research on offender rehabilitation in the management of violent and sexual offenders.
Success in this role requires extensive experience in the case management of complex and/or high-risk individuals, an expert understanding of and experience in best practice initiatives in relation to risk management and therapeutic work with high-risk and complex individuals. Additionally, you should have demonstrated knowledge and experience working within a legislative framework.
A tertiary qualification in a relevant field is desirable.
