Job Description

We are seeking a skilled Regulatory Integrity Specialist to join our Environmental Health and Regulatory Services team. In this role, you will be part of a small dedicated team investigating and addressing complaints using risk-based principles.

The ideal candidate will hold tertiary qualifications in Environmental Health, Building Surveying, Town Planning, Environmental Science or possess relevant experience as a Compliance Officer. Demonstrated experience in a compliance role within Local Government and a solid understanding of key legislation is essential.

Key Responsibilities
  • Engage with stakeholders to seek adherence to statutory requirements
  • Conduct inspections and initiate legal processes through Notices, Orders, and Directions as necessary
  • Maintain accurate records, prepare detailed reports, and represent Council in legal proceedings

Location and Tenure

This position will be based at our Administration Centre in Yalawanyi Ganya, with occasional travel to other Council sites across the MidCoast Council region. The tenure is permanent, full-time.
