Commercial Director

The role of the Commercial Director involves providing strategic leadership and guidance to drive positive commercial outcomes. As a key advisor, you will work closely with operations, pre-contracts, legal, and delivery teams to shape and safeguard commercial success.

  • Guide head contract reviews, subcontract departures, and scope management strategy with both upstream and downstream stakeholders;
  • Provide project teams with commercial insight, coaching, and practical support across contracts, variations, and risk;
  • Drive system and process improvements across commercial governance, performance tracking, and cost forecasting;
  • Collaborate with experienced professionals who value accountability and are committed to delivering exceptional results.

Key Requirements:

  • 10+ years' experience in senior commercial roles within civil construction or infrastructure;
  • Strong knowledge of Australian contract law and industry-standard contracts;
  • Experience managing complex head/subcontract agreements, variations, and disputes ideally in a tier 1 or 2 environment.
