About this Opportunity

CQUniversity is seeking a highly motivated and talented postdoctoral researcher to join our team in the School of Health, Medical and Applied Sciences.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Conduct research under limited supervision, either independently or as part of a team, contributing to conference and seminar papers and publications.
  • Participate in professional activities, including attending conferences and seminars, and undertake limited administrative functions related to your research.
  • Develop research-related material for teaching with guidance, conduct advanced experimental design and research procedures, and attend relevant meetings and committee memberships.

Requirements:

  • PhD in Ecology, Ornithology, Zoology, Wildlife Biology or Conservation Biology.
  • Research expertise in wetland or coastal birds.
  • Ability to conduct research that aligns with the data requirements identified in the Capricorn Yellow Chat Recovery Action Plan.
  • Experience in fieldwork, particularly in remote locations.
  • Excellent communication and collaboration skills.
