Postdoctoral Researcher Opportunity

CQUniversity is seeking a highly motivated and talented postdoctoral researcher to join our team in the School of Health, Medical and Applied Sciences.

About the Role

  • Conduct research under limited supervision, either independently or as part of a team, contributing to conference and seminar papers and publications.
  • Participate in professional activities, including attending conferences and seminars, and undertake limited administrative functions related to your research.
  • Develop research-related material for teaching with guidance, conduct advanced experimental design and research procedures, and attend relevant meetings and committee memberships.

Key Responsibilities

  • Conduct research that aligns with the data requirements identified in the Capricorn Yellow Chat Recovery Action Plan, both independently and as part of a team.
  • Conduct research relating to wetland birds, particularly through fieldwork conducted in the central Queensland region, including in remote locations.
  • Liaise and collaborate with internal and external stakeholders.
  • Produce research outputs and attract research income.
