Accounting Manager Job Description

The Accounting Manager position involves the use of accounting knowledge and professional judgment to analyze and journalize accounting transactions accurately.

This role is responsible for completing monthly accounting tasks and assisting members of the accounting team as needed.

Main Responsibilities:

  • Analyze and evaluate revenue, expense, and balance sheet data to ensure accurate financial reporting.
  • Supervise assigned accounting staff through review of journal entries to guarantee proper accounting for underlying transactions.
  • Verify the accuracy of revenue and expenses to maintain financial integrity.
  • Work independently to prepare and record journal entries for complex transactions, ensuring timely completion.

Requirements:

  • A bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, Business, or a related field is preferred, along with equivalent experience.
  • MBA or CPA certification is preferred but not required.
  • A minimum of 4 years of general accounting experience is necessary.
  • Strong understanding of accounting principles and their proper application is essential.
