Position Overview

The Junior Financial Analyst assists in the analysis of assigned corporate department spend and provides valuable insights to management to help drive budgeting decisions. This position is heavily involved in analyzing data from Workday, the company's accounting management system. This position also partners Accounting personnel to identify volatility in performance while analyzing key drivers and leveraging data to extract key insights.

Job Responsibilities

  • Learn and understand the CrossCountry Mortgage corporate business model to provide recommendations and insights after data compilation.
  • Visually display and summarize discoveries from data analysis in a high-level, clear and concise format/presentation.
  • Collaborate with Accounting personnel to investigate and understand profit and loss statement irregularities.
  • Enhance current and introduce new reporting and analytics aimed at providing visibility to management through business intelligence and various metrics.
  • Analyze data, draw conclusions, and provide recommendations aimed at introducing business and/or financial efficiencies; work with large data sets from disparate systems and use advanced Excel functions where necessary.
  • Perform ad-hoc reporting, data compilation, and analysis as needed.

Qualifications And Skills
  • Bachelor's degree in Finance, Accounting, Business, or equivalent combination of education/experience preferred.
  • Minimum 1-3 years of data analysis, reporting, or analytics experience preferred.
  • Excellent Excel skills (e.g., pivot tables, macros, financial modeling, etc.) required.
  • Excellent attention to detail, communication, and analytical skills.
