Water Infrastructure Project Planner

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced project planner to support the delivery of major water infrastructure projects across Australia. This is a key opportunity to contribute to projects that drive innovation, sustainability, and long-term community impact.

Job Description:

  • Develop and maintain detailed project programmes to track progress and performance.
  • Conduct risk assessments on cost schedules to identify potential delays or disputes.
  • Prepare cost forecasts and completion estimates to support financial planning.
  • Collaborate with internal and external stakeholders to ensure alignment and transparency.
  • Provide regular programme updates to senior managers and support site teams with planning and reporting.
  • Review monthly status reports and ensure construction programmes meet tender and delivery requirements.
  • Identify and report on milestones, critical path activities, and long-lead items.
  • Implement change management processes and formal approval procedures for programme adjustments.
  • Support budget management and ensure timely, high-quality programme delivery.
  • Act as the primary contact for clients regarding programme changes and evolving project needs.
  • Develop performance metrics to track client satisfaction, team efficiency, and project timelines.

Required Skills and Qualifications:

  • Strong influencing and stakeholder engagement skills.
  • Excellent multitasking, decision-making, and problem-solving abilities.
  • In-depth knowledge of project scheduling, program logic, and construction methodologies.
  • Proven leadership and team coordination experience.
  • Working knowledge of HS&E requirements and their practical application.
  • Proficiency in MS Office and planning software (e.g., Primavera P6, MS Project).
