Maintenance Director Position

Our organization seeks a skilled Maintenance Director to oversee and improve maintenance and reliability operations.

  • Manage a team of maintenance professionals in executing safe and efficient maintenance tasks.
  • Cultivate an environment that prioritizes safety, accountability, and continuous improvement.
  • Select, train, and develop maintenance staff across all shifts.
  • Provide ongoing coaching, mentoring, and performance feedback to enhance technical and leadership abilities.
  • Create customized development plans and learning opportunities for team members.
  • Promote cross-training and succession planning to build a resilient and adaptable team.
  • Evaluate compliance with applicable regulations.
  • Direct departmental spending and optimize maintenance costs.
  • Enhance equipment reliability through preventive, predictive, and corrective maintenance.
  • Implement Total Productive Maintenance (TPM) and Lean Six Sigma initiatives focusing on Autonomous Maintenance and employee engagement.
  • Coordinate significant maintenance and capital projects with production and engineering teams.
  • Train staff on Computerized Maintenance Management System (CMMS), problem-solving, and best practices.
  • Track and report key performance indicators (KPIs); lead toolbox meetings and interdepartmental collaboration.
  • Oversight of utilities and wastewater management to meet production needs.
  • Maintain MRO inventory to minimize downtime and support efficient operations.
  • Support Capital Expenditure (CAPEX) planning and execution aligned with long-term facility objectives.
  • Foster a culture of innovation, knowledge sharing, and technical growth by encouraging creativity and collaboration.

Requirements:

  • Bachelor's degree in a relevant field preferred; associate degree required.
  • Seven years or more of electromechanical maintenance experience; two or more years of people management experience.
  • Proven track record in team leadership, mentoring, and talent development.
  • Experience in food/pharma manufacturing and regulatory compliance is beneficial.
  • CMRP certification is advantageous.
