Maintenance operations specialists are responsible for ensuring maximum operational potential of plant facilities. Their role involves directing, supporting and training site maintenance technicians to achieve this goal.

This position entails leading a team on all shifts, communicating and documenting events using standard shift logs and enterprise resource planning systems.

  • Ensures adherence to industry guidelines (SQF, Food Safety, Plant Safety) during task completion.">
  • Provides leadership to the maintenance team on all shifts.">
  • Trains mechanics and offers support where needed.">
  • Coordinates and executes machine upgrades and extended downtime repairs.">
  • Designs, fabricates, and installs new equipment while enhancing existing equipment through process improvement and upgrades.">
  • Finds root causes of problems or issues and completes necessary documentation.">
  • Verifies work completion through enterprise resource planning platforms with accurate data entry.">
  • Performs and directs preventative, predictive, and planned maintenance of equipment, including cleaning, inspecting, diagnosing, replacement testing, and process improvements.">
  • Identifies and reports needs for major repairs to management and enters data into enterprise resource planning systems.">
  • Calibrates and maintains electronics and instrumentations for process control devices.">
  • Ensures company metrics are met and supports team goals.">
  • Follows Good Manufacturing Practices and wears personal protective equipment.">

Requirements:

  • High school diploma, GED or related technical instruction.">
  • A minimum of five years experience in Mechanical maintenance and troubleshooting in a manufacturing setting.">
  • Ability to lead employees towards common goals through credibility with the team.">
  • Ability to prioritize work and complete tasks safely and timely.">
  • Excellent oral and written communication skills.">
  • Working knowledge of basic computer skills, Microsoft Word, email, and enterprise resource planning systems.">
