**Job Overview:**

We are seeking a dedicated and passionate Commis Chef to join our team in the Pastry Kitchen. As a key member of the culinary team, you will be responsible for producing high-quality desserts, pastries, and baked goods that meet our world-class culinary standards.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Assist in the preparation and production of pastries, desserts, and baked items under the guidance of the Head Pastry Chef.
  • Ensure consistency, quality, and presentation of all pastry items.
  • Work independently to prepare required quantities for service, following daily production schedules.
  • Adhere strictly to portion control, recipes, and presentation standards.
  • Minimise wastage and support cost control efforts by following proper storage and preparation techniques.
Requirements:
  • Able to work in rotating shifts.
  • Minimum of 6-month experience in any capacity kitchen or as a kitchen hand in a restaurant or hotel with similar standards.
  • Proficient in basic knife handling and kitchen equipment.
  • Strong communication and teamwork skills.
  • Flexibility to work various shifts, including weekends and holidays.
