About the Role:

This is an exciting opportunity for a highly experienced and empathetic individual to join our team in Parramatta as a Community Services Coordinator.

">

As a key member of our Victims Services Business Unit, you will provide a wide range of administrative and client services to victims of crimes.

">

Your primary responsibilities will include:

">
  • ">
  • Delivering professional and empathetic frontline customer service to clients">
  • Responding to enquiries in a timely and accurate manner">
  • Escalating complex enquiries to Senior team members">
  • Providing information to clients about services and support available including entitlements, financial support, counselling, and the process involved in making a claim">
  • Managing records and databases with high integrity, accuracy, and confidentiality">
  • Building rapport and trust with victims through effective listening and empathetic communication">
  • Preparing matters for hearings">
  • Establishing and maintaining stakeholder relationships to facilitate engagement, partnerships, collaboration, and contribution of ideas">
  • Ensuring compliance with Government guidelines, including the Charter of Victims Rights, Departments Code of Conduct, Work Health and Safety, Child Protection, and EEO">

Requirements:

To be successful in this role, you will have:

">
  • ">
  • Demonstrated experience in Client Service, Social Work, or Community Support">
  • Previous experience working with vulnerable clients or challenging behaviors">
  • Proven experience within a highly sensitive/complex environment">
  • Justice or Public Sector experience desirable">
  • Impeccable communication skills, both verbal and written">
  • Outstanding interpersonal skills, professional, and resilient with an empathetic nature">
  • Superior organisational skills with the ability to multi-task and prioritise conflicting deadlines">
  • Strong computer literacy and proficiency with MS Office suite">
  • Fully COVID vaccinated or medically exempt">
  • Willingness to undergo a National Police Check">
  • Reliable remote internet access with the ability to work remotely from home">
  • Ability to commence and commit to the duration of the assignment">
