Job Title:

A highly respected leadership role is available to lead a legal team.

About the Role:

The Legal Director will be responsible for driving the strategic direction of our legal service, providing advice and casework services across a diverse range of funded programs. As a member of the senior management team, you will report directly to the Chief Executive Officer.

  • Lead complex litigation cases
  • Provide supervision and mentoring to solicitors and volunteers
  • Operate in an environment of continuous improvement, ensuring compliance with all professional and regulatory obligations
Key Responsibilities:
  • To identify, evaluate, and pursue opportunities for growth aligned with our strategic goals
  • To build and maintain a positive and respectful team culture
  • To develop and maintain relationships with stakeholders including funders, government departments, and community groups
Requirements:
  • A Practising Certificate and relevant post-admission experience, preferably 7+ years
  • Experience in risk management, compliance and quality assurance
  • An adaptable and strong leadership style
  • Commitment to trauma-informed, culturally safe practice
