The estimated annual salary for this role is $80,000 - $110,000, depending on experience.

Job Description

As a Financial Accountant, you will report directly to the Financial Reporting Manager and be responsible for:

  • Performing detailed reconciliations of key financial balances, including thorough analysis and resolution of any discrepancies.
  • Identifying and resolving issues that impact financial reporting and processes, ensuring smooth operations.
  • Preparing accurate accounting journals to ensure timely and precise financial records.
  • Managing and controlling accounts payable processes, ensuring accuracy and compliance with company policies.
  • Providing support with the preparation of financial reports and ad-hoc financial analysis, offering actionable insights for decision-making.
  • Collaborating closely with cross-functional teams, including Operations, Data, Treasury, and Sales, to ensure seamless financial integration across the business.
  • Where required, working with large datasets and managing complex transactions across multiple systems to ensure accuracy and completeness.
  • Assisting in the preparation and review of financial statements, regulatory reports, and tax returns, ensuring compliance with all relevant standards and deadlines.
  • Driving process improvements to streamline financial workflows, reduce manual tasks, and enhance operational efficiency.
  • Contributing to reporting and analysis that supports the company's securitisation funding program, ensuring accuracy and timeliness of financial reporting.

Required Skills and Qualifications

To succeed in this opportunity, you must have:

  • Tertiary qualification in Accounting, Economics, or business-related disciplines, with potential CA or CPA qualifications.
  • Proven track record working across financial services, which will be highly regarded.
  • Detailed-oriented, numerical skills, with a flexible approach to work.
  • A flair for picking up new systems and competence in Excel, advanced Excel skills being highly valued.
  • Experience working in a team environment.
  • Exceptional communication skills, with a passion for innovation.
