We are seeking casual Outreach Support Workers to provide respite to carers by taking planned outings with young people. These shifts may take place in the afternoon or on weekends, as well as within Residential Care homes.
Key Responsibilities:- Provide opportunities for children and young people to develop life skills appropriate to their age and ability.
- Support young people in maintaining connections with family, culture, country, and community.
- Support young people to develop safety, health, and wellbeing measures.
- Support social, recreational, educational and health activities for young people in line with their individual care plan.
- Support young people in accessing appointments (transport).
- Engage therapeutically with young people.
- Certificate IV in Child, Youth and Family Intervention/Community Services or equivalent qualification.
- 1 year relevant experience working with young people in out of home care or similar field.
