Youth Support Specialist

We are seeking a dedicated and compassionate Youth Support Worker to join our team. As a Youth Support Worker, you will play a vital role in providing care and support to children and young people in our Out of Home Care program.
This is a part-time position that requires flexibility to work across varied shifts between 6:00 AM and 10:00 PM, including sleepover shifts. You will be responsible for creating a safe, stable, and nurturing home environment for the young people in your care.
Responsibilities- Provide day-to-day care and support for children and young people
- Help with personal care, education, social activities, and independent living skills
- Create a positive and supportive home environment
- Offer trauma-informed support when challenges arise
- A Certificate IV in Youth Work, Child & Family, or Community Services (or willingness to enroll)
- A Working with Children Check (or willingness to obtain one)
- An NDIS Workers Screening Check
- A National Police Check (we'll complete this for successful applicants)
- A valid open driver's license
- Competitive hourly rate under the SCHADS Award
