Transform Lives as an Outreach Support Worker

We are currently seeking casual support workers to join our team in Gladstone. Our outreach support workers will provide respite to carers by taking planned outings with young people, offering a chance for personal growth and connection. As part of the residential care team, shifts in our care homes will also be available.

What does a typical day look like?

  • Develop life skills and promote independence in children and young people.
  • Maintain connections between young people and their families, culture, community, and country.
  • Support young people in developing safety, health, and wellbeing measures.
  • Facilitate social, recreational, educational, and health activities that align with individual care plans.
  • Assist young people in accessing appointments and transportation services.
  • Engage therapeutically with young people to foster positive relationships.
Requirements:
  • Certificate IV in Child, Youth and Family Intervention or equivalent qualification.
  • 1 year of experience working with young people in out-of-home care or similar field.
