About the Role

The Commonwealth Bank of Australia is seeking a highly skilled Senior Manager to join its Financial Services team. As a key member of the Group Financial Reporting & Analysis team, you will play a critical role in providing financial support to the CEO, CFO, Executive Leadership Team, and Board.

Key Responsibilities

  • Develop and maintain financial models and forecasts to support strategic decision-making
  • Provide analysis and insights on the bank's investment portfolio to senior management and stakeholders
  • Ensure the effective management of the investment portfolio, including due diligence and risk assessment
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to drive business outcomes and improve operational efficiency
  • Develop and implement process improvements to enhance the quality and timeliness of financial reporting
  • Manage and develop a team of analysts to achieve business objectives

Requirements

  • Advanced degree in finance, accounting, or a related field
  • Minimum 5 years of experience in financial reporting and analysis, with a focus on investment reporting
  • Proven track record of delivering high-quality financial models and forecasts
  • Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to communicate complex ideas to non-technical stakeholders
  • Strong leadership and management skills, with the ability to motivate and develop a team
  • Advanced Excel skills, with experience in financial modeling and data analysis
  • Tableau and Alteryx skills a plus
