We're seeking an experienced Senior Manager to lead our Operational Risk team in ensuring the Bank's activities, processes, and products manage existing and emerging risks effectively.


In this role, you'll provide advice, monitoring, and independent oversight of business activities to support the Bank's strategic objectives. You will be the trusted advisor, responsible for ensuring operational risks are appropriately managed across Business Bank.


You'll work closely with various teams, including Business, Compliance, Group Operational Risk, and other Risk functions, to identify areas of risk concerns, conduct deep dive reviews, and provide advice on risk management.


Your Key Responsibilities:



  • Identify and assess operational risks and develop strategies to mitigate them.
  • Lead assurance activities to ensure effective risk management practices are implemented.
  • Collaborate with stakeholders to provide guidance on risk management frameworks and standards.
  • Develop and maintain relationships with key stakeholders to ensure effective communication and issue resolution.
  • Stay up-to-date with regulatory requirements and industry developments to ensure the Bank remains compliant.

Requirements:



  • Demonstrated experience in managing operational risks, with a strong understanding of risk management frameworks and standards.
  • Proven ability to lead teams and collaborate with stakeholders to achieve business objectives.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to build strong relationships with key stakeholders.
  • A strong understanding of regulatory requirements and industry developments.
  • A bachelor's degree in a relevant field, such as finance, accounting, or business.

Estimated Salary: AU$150,000 - AU$200,000 per annum
