About the Role

Lifestyle Solutions is seeking a dedicated and compassionate Therapeutic Youth Care Specialist to join our team. As a Therapeutic Live-in Carer, you will provide short-term support to children and young people in our care, ensuring their physical, emotional, and developmental needs are met.

Key Responsibilities
  • Provide a safe and nurturing environment for young people, promoting their overall well-being and development.
  • Support the child's Individual Care Plan, focusing on their health, education, relationships, and emotional well-being.
  • Manage daily household tasks, including cooking, cleaning, and laundry, to maintain a comfortable and organized living space.
  • Encourage cultural or religious connections, including return-to-country trips, to promote the child's sense of identity and belonging.
  • Work closely with schools to ensure educational engagement and support the child's academic and personal growth.
  • Participate in recreational activities, such as fishing, crafts, and outdoor adventures, to foster a sense of fun and connection with the child.
Requirements
  • A love for travel and a willingness to work a week-on, week-off roster with sleepover shifts.
  • Experience working with young people, particularly in therapeutic environments, and relevant qualifications or experience in child and youth care.
  • A valid driver's license and resilience to handle the unique challenges of the job.
  • A positive, empathetic attitude and passion for making a difference in the lives of children and young people.
