Key Responsibilities- Manage household duties, including cleaning, washing, and meal preparation, to create a safe and nurturing environment.
- Provide therapeutic interventions and supports to help children and young people develop to their full potential and learn new, positive emotional responses.
- Support the goals established in the child or young person's Individual Care Plan, which includes the 9 dimensions of well-being.
- Monitor and report health issues for each child or young person and respond to their individual health needs.
- Provide age-appropriate care to children and young people, including assisting with daily living tasks and promoting their physical and emotional well-being.
- Assist children and young people to connect with their culture or religion, including participating in cultural activities and supporting their spiritual development.
- Work collaboratively with schools to identify barriers to positive engagement in education and facilitate learning from home activities.
- Participate in social and recreational activities with children and young people, such as playing games, going fishing, and engaging in crafts.
- Experience working with children and young people, particularly in therapeutic environments.
- Located within the Perth region.
- A positive, resilient attitude and a commitment to making a difference in the lives of children and young people.
- A relevant diploma qualification or equivalent experience.
- A valid driver's license and willingness to work a week-on, week-off roster, including sleepover shifts.
- Experience working with children and young people with complex trauma or in Out-of-Home Care.
