About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Safety Advisor to join our team at our Wetherill Park site in Sydney. As a key member of our site leadership team, you will play a critical role in improving safety performance and ensuring compliance with legislation and Bega safety requirements.

Key Responsibilities
  • Develop and implement effective safety strategies to mitigate risks and improve safety performance
  • Provide coaching, mentoring, and support to employees to achieve safety goals and compliance
  • Work closely with site leadership and Group Safety subject matter experts to ensure safety performance and compliance
  • Conduct thorough risk assessments and maintain critical risk registers with implemented controls
  • Prepare and coordinate site reports for safety meetings and drive continuous safety improvement
About You
  • Relevant degree or diploma in Safety or extensive industry experience
  • Proven track record of safety leadership and culture development
  • Practical knowledge of Australian occupational health and safety management systems, standards, and legislation
  • Excellent communication and relationship-building skills
  • Effective time management, organisational, and prioritisation skills
