Our organisation is seeking an experienced Administrative Support Specialist to join our team. This role will provide strategic support to our operations by providing administrative assistance, collaborating and communicating with stakeholders, and ensuring rigorous governance reporting and record keeping.
The successful candidate will play a pivotal role in supporting our organisational priorities by undertaking work that is moderately complex to complex and/or sensitive in nature, under limited direction, utilising expertise and knowledge within the area of operational project and programme delivery.
Key responsibilities include:
- Undertake work that is moderately complex to complex and/or sensitive in nature, under limited direction, utilising expertise and knowledge within the area of operational project and programme delivery.
- Manage high volumes of work and competing priorities, with the ability to deliver work of high quality to agreed standards and timeframes.
- Develop and maintain effective relationships with stakeholders, including team members, managers and external parties.
- Provide administrative support, including preparing reports, maintaining records and coordinating logistics.
- Demonstrated work experience in a project, management or business administration role.
- Well-developed written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to communicate effectively with people from diverse backgrounds and levels of seniority.
- High integrity and discretion when dealing with confidential and sensitive matters.
- Ability to work autonomously and as part of a team, with a strong commitment to achieving positive results and supporting our organisational priorities.
- Tertiary qualifications and/or an industry recognised certification in Management, Business Administration, Project Management or a similar field.
- Demonstrated work experience providing administrative support for a program/project in a federal government context.
- Experience in Agile ways of working, such as SCRUM or the Scaled Agile Framework (SAFe).
- Knowledge of IT tools, including MS Suite, electronic record management system and Azure DevOps.
- Workforce management skills, particularly in the Indigo Build Delivery section.
