Salary: $80,000 - $110,000 per annum, depending on experience and qualifications.

Job Description:

We are seeking a highly skilled Occupational Rehabilitation Specialist to join our team in Wollongong and Nowra NSW. In this diverse role, you will enjoy the flexibility and autonomy to manage your own day while working closely with a strong, close-knit team of healthcare professionals.

Your primary responsibility will be to provide occupational rehabilitation services to clients with various conditions, both physical and psychological, and support them in achieving return to health and return to work outcomes.

Duties:

  • Manage client caseloads effectively, utilizing case management skills and collaborating with Rehabilitation Assistants to alleviate administrative tasks;
  • Apply clinical knowledge to improve return to work outcomes and develop comprehensive treatment plans;
  • Work closely with employers and employees to design and implement injury prevention and workplace education programs;
  • Collaborate with injured workers, medical, and allied health professionals to ensure seamless support;
  • Work across various schemes, including workers compensation, compulsory third party, life insurance, Comcare, Department of Veteran's Affairs, and employer-funded injury prevention programs;
  • Assist clients in achieving return to health and return to work outcomes, completing assessments using clinical skills and expertise;
  • Develop and implement workplace and vocational assessments to review diagnosis, support treatment plans, address psychosocial barriers to employment, and identify suitable employment opportunities for workers who have sustained workplace injuries or injuries from motor vehicle accidents.

Requirements:

To be successful in this role, you will need to possess:

  • Tertiary qualifications in Social Work, registered with AASW;
  • Previous experience working in Occupational Rehabilitation industry, highly regarded;
  • Fantastic communication skills, with the ability to build strong relationships with clients and stakeholders;
  • Compassion, kindness, and empathy, essential qualities for this role;
  • Well-developed time management skills, crucial for effective caseload management;
  • A current NSW Driver's License and access to own car with comprehensive insurance, mandatory requirements.
