About the Role:

We are seeking an experienced Commercial Driver to lead our Airside team on shift. As a key member of our Customer Delivery team, you will be responsible for ensuring the delivery of service to all customers in line with operational schedules and safety requirements.

Main Responsibilities:

  • Team Leadership: Supervise and coordinate team members in the Customer Delivery department to ensure productivity and performance criteria are met.
  • Operational Management: Assist in the supervision of catering trucks within a designated work area to ensure they reach and load-up all aircraft safely and on schedule.
  • Leadership by Example: Perform all the duties of a Driver and lead by example to demonstrate leadership, decision-making, and organisational skills.
  • Training and Induction: Supervise, train, and induct workers within a designated work area.
  • Administrative Duties: Organise and coordinate work within the designated work area and perform administrative and reporting duties as required.
  • Quality Control: Follow up on any discrepancies and ensure all flight deliveries are correct.

Requirements:

  • Leadership Skills: Demonstrating leadership, decision-making, and organisational skills necessary to efficiently meet performance requirements in a changing work environment.
  • Communication Skills: Good verbal and written communication skills.
  • Qualifications: Must hold and maintain possession of a valid ASIC card, a valid Australian state/territory MR or greater driver's license, and the authority to drive airside ADA.
  • Flexibility: Flexibility in working around flight schedules is essential, with a 7-day per week operation.
  • Certifications: Fork Lift license preferred, First Aid Certificate, and WHS qualifications preferred.
  • Police Record: A clean Police Record is required as part of mandatory checks.
