Job Overview

The Water Resources Engineer–Technical Director is a leadership role in our Surface Water & Catchments Group. Based in Brisbane, Sunshine Coast, Gold Coast, or Toowoomba, this position provides technical leadership in hydrologic and hydraulic analysis for multi-disciplinary projects and mentors staff.


We are seeking an experienced professional to lead our team in delivering high-quality projects. The successful candidate will have strong leadership skills, excellent communication abilities, and the ability to work collaboratively with colleagues and clients.


Key Responsibilities
  • Provide technical leadership in hydrologic and hydraulic analysis for multi-disciplinary projects
  • Mentor staff and contribute to their professional development
  • Work collaboratively with colleagues and clients to deliver high-quality projects
  • Stay up-to-date with industry developments and advancements in water resources engineering

Requirements
  • Bachelor's degree in a relevant field (e.g. civil engineering, environmental engineering)
  • Minimum 5 years of experience in water resources engineering, including leadership roles
  • Strong leadership skills and excellent communication abilities
  • Ability to work collaboratively with colleagues and clients
  • Proficiency in software applications such as GIS, CAD, and project management tools
