Butcher Operations Manager Position

We are seeking an experienced butcher operations manager to lead our meat processing and sales team. As a key member of our management team, you will be responsible for overseeing daily operations, ensuring the highest standards of meat quality, display, and customer service.

Main Responsibilities:
  • Perform high-quality meat cutting, preparation, and display techniques to meet business and customer standards.
  • Manage and train staff, including scheduling, performance management, and providing guidance on procedures.
  • Monitor and maintain inventory, ordering supplies as needed to meet demand while minimizing waste.
  • Evaluate and maintain compliance with health, safety, and food hygiene regulations.
  • Develop and maintain strong relationships with customers and suppliers.
  • Resolve any operational or customer service issues that arise.
  • Implement effective stock rotation to maintain quality and freshness.
  • Maintain and arrange for the repair of equipment as necessary.
  • Liaise with the management team on operational updates, customer feedback, and business improvements.
  • Accurately record-keep for inventory, orders, and operational processes.
Requirements:
  • **Education:** Certificate III in Meat Processing or equivalent qualification.
  • **Experience:** At least 2 years of proven experience as an experienced butcher in retail or processing environment.
  • **Leadership and Communication Skills:** Demonstrated ability to lead a team, provide training, and communicate effectively with staff and management.
  • **Operational Knowledge:** Strong understanding of meat processing techniques, meat display, and stock management.
  • **Attention to Detail:** Commitment to maintaining quality, compliance, and operational standards.
  • **Customer Service Skills:** Proven ability to build positive relationships with customers and address their needs effectively.
  • **Legal Entitlement:** Must have the legal right to work in Australia.
