Policy Manager Role Overview

The Policy Manager leads a team in delivering public policy projects within the Policy branch leadership structure. This role entails developing and managing personnel while being accountable for robust policy development.

This position requires building strong working relationships with various internal and external stakeholders, as well as steering complex projects to successful completion.

A key aspect of this role is leading policy projects and initiatives, including planning, coaching, monitoring progress, strategic navigation, and oversight. Additionally, it involves guiding and supporting team members in progressing their deliverables and meeting performance and development goals.

The successful candidate will also be responsible for maintaining effective relationships with other areas of APRA, staying up-to-date with relevant policy issues impacting the industry, and engaging stakeholders to review or revise elements of the prudential framework.
