Job Title: Senior Casework Leader

About the Role:

This position requires a dedicated and empathetic leader to oversee a team of caseworkers. The role involves setting daily priorities, allocating resources, and fostering a culture of excellence within the team.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Establish and implement effective workflow processes.
  • Nurture high-quality work and encourage best practice methods among staff members.
  • Provide group supervision, leadership, and individual coaching to caseworkers.
  • Maintain accurate client records through regular review and feedback mechanisms.
  • Initiate legal proceedings as required and offer support to caseworkers in complex cases.
  • Pursue ongoing professional development and collaborate with colleagues and external partners.
  • Contribute to operational and policy issues, ensuring alignment with organizational goals.
  • Consult with management on sensitive, high-risk, or business-critical matters.

Required Skills and Qualifications:

  • Tertiary qualifications in Social Work, Psychology, Social Science, or a related field.
  • Experience leading and managing teams in challenging situations.
  • Demonstrated understanding of trauma-informed care and its impact on vulnerable populations.
  • Compliance with relevant child protection and disability inclusion regulations.
