About the Role

We are seeking a highly motivated and experienced Construction Health and Safety Specialist to join our team in Rockhampton, QLD.

As a key member of our operations team, you will be responsible for providing SHEQ support services on site, including preparing safety management plans, conducting audits, and assisting with inspections to ensure compliance with our systems and legislative requirements.

You will have the ability to work independently, with a strong focus on self-motivation and organizational skills. Your excellent communication and interpersonal skills will enable you to build strong relationships with internal stakeholders, clients, and subcontractors.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Develop and implement safety management plans to minimize risks and ensure compliance with regulatory requirements;
  • Conduct regular audits and inspections to identify areas for improvement and provide recommendations for enhancements;
  • Provide training and guidance to site staff on safety procedures and best practices;
  • Maintain accurate records of incidents, near misses, and injuries;
  • Collaborate with the project team to identify and mitigate potential hazards.

Requirements:

  • Demonstrated experience in construction health and safety (minimum 2 years);
  • Proficiency in MS Office, particularly Excel and Word;
  • Familiarity with Cintellate or similar health and safety management systems;
  • Strong understanding of Commonwealth Construction Safety legislation;
  • Excellent communication, leadership, and problem-solving skills.

What We Offer:

We offer a competitive salary range of $80,000 - $110,000 per annum, depending on experience, as well as opportunities for professional development and growth within our company.
