The Opportunity

We are seeking a skilled Health and Safety Specialist to join our team in Brisbane, working closely with our Regional Manager and National WHS and QA Manager. This role will involve monitoring and maintaining HCA's work health and safety management system, ensuring compliance with current legislation and promoting a positive workplace safety culture.

The successful candidate will work collaboratively with branch and field operations to provide guidance on risk management processes and implement effective safety initiatives.

About You

To be considered for this role, you should have:

  • A strong commitment to health and safety, with previous experience in a similar role within the Mining, Trades, Manufacturing or Warehousing Industries.
  • Excellent knowledge of return-to-work requirements and training facilitation skills, preferably with a Cert IV in OHS and Diploma in OHS.
  • Technical expertise to provide holistic advice on relevant legislation and deliver high-quality training sessions and toolbox talks.

Key Responsibilities:

This role includes managing accident/incident investigations, workers' compensation claims, and return-to-work plans to ensure operational efficiency. You will also identify safety improvements, drive change, encourage employee commitment, and enhance the business cultural safety journey.
