Job Title: Corporate Finance Analyst

Role Description:

This is a 6-month contract opportunity to contribute to our financial strategy and governance in a fast-paced environment.

As a Corporate Finance Analyst, you will support our corporate finance portfolios across treasury, insurance, and governance of wholesale energy trading activities.

You will maintain financial resilience by managing liquidity, supporting insurance renewals and claims, and ensuring compliance with regulatory obligations.

Working closely with internal stakeholders and external partners, you will contribute to financial modelling, risk management, and reporting to governance committees.

This role requires strong analytical thinking, attention to detail, and the ability to work collaboratively across teams and with external stakeholders.

Key responsibilities include:

  • Supporting the management of cash and liquidity, including preparing cashflow forecasts and executing financial market transactions.
  • Assisting with the annual insurance renewal process, claims management, and coordination with brokers and underwriters.
  • Ensuring compliance with regulatory obligations, including preparing and maintaining supporting documentation and financial models.
  • Monitoring and assessing counterparty credit risk under our wholesale energy credit policy, and reviewing contract proposals to ensure financial risks are identified and managed.
  • Contributing to financial modelling, reconciliation of energy supplier invoices, and preparation of reports for governance committees.
What You'll Bring:
  • A Bachelor's degree in Finance, Accounting, Economics, or a related discipline (postgraduate qualifications such as CA or CPA are highly regarded).
  • Strong Excel financial modelling skills and familiarity with SAP for financial transactions and reporting.
  • Exposure to treasury operations, insurance processes, or corporate finance, ideally gained in a corporate, banking, consulting, or insurance environment.
  • Strong analytical thinking, attention to detail, and the ability to work collaboratively across teams and with external stakeholders.
