About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced HR Generalist to join our National HR team at ALS. As an HR Generalist, you will play a key role in providing generalist HR advisory services and managing a small portfolio of open vacancies across multiple business units in our diverse organisation.

Key Responsibilities

  • Provide generalist HR advisory services to employees and management, including employee relations, recruitment, and talent management.
  • Manage a small portfolio of open vacancies, including recruitment and onboarding processes.
  • Partner with our people to provide generalist and recruitment advice, lead to end people and culture activities, including employee experience and engagement initiatives, recruitment and onboarding, employee relations and interpretation, talent management, coaching and development, performance management, and HR projects, reporting and analytics.
  • Develop and implement HR initiatives and programs to support the growth and development of our employees.
  • Collaborate with our National HR team to provide guidance and support on HR-related matters.

Requirements

  • A values-based and customer-focused HR professional with a strong understanding of HR principles and practices.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to build trust-based relationships across our organisation.
  • Able to work independently and as part of a team, with a strong attention to detail and ability to manage competing priorities.
  • Computer literate, with skills in Microsoft office products and ideally HR systems.
  • A strong understanding of employment law and regulations.
