Job Title: Instructional Leader

The Role:

  • We are seeking an experienced and dedicated educator to join our team as an Instructional Leader. The successful candidate will be responsible for developing and implementing individual education plans (IEPs) for students with disability and additional needs.
  • This role involves providing advice and support to teachers on matters related to specific disabilities, ensuring that all students receive the best possible education.
  • The Instructional Leader will oversee the implementation of specific learning support programs such as MACQLIT and STAMS for students with disability and additional needs.
  • Additionally, this role involves overseeing disability provision determinations and timetables for internal and external examination-based assessments.
  • The successful candidate will also contribute to partnerships with parents of students with disability and allied health professionals, working collaboratively to ensure inclusion, access and participation to maximise learning outcomes for students with disability and additional needs.
  • Other key responsibilities include planning for and overseeing the work, timetable and wellbeing of the Secondary Teachers' Aide team.

Requirements:

  • NESA Teacher Accreditation and valid WWCC are essential for this role.
  • The ideal candidate will have experience working with students with disability and additional needs, and possess a comprehensive understanding of relevant legislation including the DDA, DSE, NCCD, and IEPs.
  • A commitment to and passion for excellence in Christian education is also highly desirable.
  • Effective time management, organisation and planning skills are necessary for this position.
  • SPECIFIC QUALIFICATION/S IN LEARNING SUPPORT ARE PREFERRED BUT NOT ESSENTIAL.
