Job Title:

A strategic logistics and operations leader is required to oversee the management of container fleet operations across Australia.

About the Role:

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced professional to lead and optimize our container logistics and intermodal operations. The successful candidate will be responsible for managing a team, streamlining processes, and driving cost control initiatives.

Main Responsibilities:

  • Lead and manage a team of professionals to ensure clear accountability and consistent performance monitoring.
  • Develop and implement strategies to enhance container logistics processes and reduce operational costs.
  • Oversee container forecasting, provisioning, and inventory management across all Australian ports.
  • Manage container movement data, sales, repairs, and claims in accordance with directives.
  • Ensure timely and compliant execution of container transport and processing of related invoices.
  • Drive cost-control initiatives and manage container stock imbalances and idle assets across regions.
  • Support internal stakeholders and maintain reporting systems.
Requirements:

The ideal candidate will possess:

  • Tertiary qualifications in Business, International Business, or Supply Chain/Logistics.
  • Advanced Microsoft Excel skills and the ability to adapt to internal systems.
  • Strong problem-solving, planning, and strategic decision-making capabilities.
  • Proven experience working under pressure in fast-paced environments.
  • Exceptional communication and negotiation skills.
  • Extensive prior experience in container logistics, stock management, and high-volume equipment flows.
  • Demonstrated team leadership and supervisory experience in logistics or supply chain operations.
