Native Title Specialist

This role is responsible for undertaking research and assessments on native title issues. You will provide expert advice on the implications of these assessments for dealings in land and other natural resources.

  • Main Responsibilities:
  • Conduct comprehensive research and analysis to inform native title matters.
  • Develop and maintain a deep understanding of native title policies, procedures, and legislation.
  • Provide high-quality support to capture data within Queensland Native Title Management Environment (QNTIME) information system.
  • Assist in preparing, reviewing, and implementing procedures related to native title matters.
  • Identify policy issues and formulate advice for addressing them.
  • Prepare and assist with submissions, briefs, advices, and complex documentation.
  • Support senior project officers and team members in managing workflow and organizing stakeholder meetings, preparing agendas, and taking minutes.

Requirements:

  • A strong understanding of native title policies and procedures.
  • Excellent research and analytical skills.
  • The ability to communicate complex ideas effectively.
