Supporting Children in Care

As a Kinship Care Practitioner, you will play a vital role in supporting children placed with extended family members or close family friends. Our Role
  • Conduct comprehensive assessments and develop tailored support plans to meet the unique needs of each family.
  • Provide ongoing case management and crisis intervention to ensure families receive the support they need.
  • Facilitate family meetings and mediate challenging conversations to promote understanding and resolution.
  • Connect families with community resources and support services to enhance their overall well-being.
  • Collaborate with courts, schools, and healthcare providers to ensure seamless coordination of care.
  • Maintain detailed documentation and compliance standards to ensure the highest level of care.
What We're Looking For
  • A relevant tertiary qualification in Social Work, Psychology, or related field.
  • Experience in child protection, family services, or community work.
  • Strong assessment, communication, and relationship-building skills.
  • An understanding of trauma-informed practice and cultural sensitivity.
  • A current Working with Children Check and driver's license.
  • A commitment to Baptcare's Christian values and community-focused approach.
