
Kinship Family Support Specialist

As a Kinship Care Practitioner, you will play a vital role in supporting children placed with extended family members or close family friends. This is a unique opportunity to make a meaningful difference in our community and ensure that vulnerable children receive the care, stability, and love they deserve.

Our Role- Conduct comprehensive assessments and develop tailored support plans to meet the unique needs of each family.
- Provide ongoing case management and crisis intervention to ensure families receive the support they need.
- Facilitate family meetings and mediate challenging conversations to promote understanding and resolution.
- Connect families with community resources and support services to enhance their overall well-being.
- Collaborate with courts, schools, and healthcare providers to ensure seamless coordination of care.
- Maintain detailed documentation and compliance standards to ensure the highest level of care.
- A relevant tertiary qualification in Social Work, Psychology, or related field.
- Experience in child protection, family services, or community work.
- Strong assessment, communication, and relationship-building skills.
- An understanding of trauma-informed practice and cultural sensitivity.
- A current Working with Children Check and driver's license.
- A commitment to Baptcare's Christian values and community-focused approach.
