Job Title: Data Centre Security Specialist
About the RoleWe are seeking an experienced Data Centre Security Specialist to join our team at Amazon Web Services. This is a unique opportunity to work with a leading cloud provider and be part of a dynamic environment.
Job DescriptionThe successful candidate will be responsible for overseeing the security operations of our data centres, ensuring that our facilities and equipment meet the highest standards of safety and security. This includes managing uniformed security officers, developing new processes and procedures, and driving continuous improvements in our security practices and operations.
You will work closely with our customers and internal teams to develop and implement security solutions that meet their needs and ensure the confidentiality, integrity, and availability of their data. Additionally, you will oversee the work of vendors and contractors, ensuring that they comply with our security requirements.
This role requires strong leadership and communication skills, as well as the ability to adapt to a dynamic operational environment. You must have a proven track record of managing security operations in a similar context and be able to credibly coordinate between technical teams and business stakeholders.
Responsibilities- Oversee the day-to-day security operations of our data centres
- Manage uniformed security officers and vendors/contractors
- Develop and implement new processes and procedures
- Drive continuous improvements in security practices and operations
- Closely work with customers and internal teams to develop and implement security solutions
To be successful in this role, you will need:
- A strong background in physical security systems, including facility security installations, surveillance systems, and electronic access control systems
- Demonstrated experience in managing 24x7 security operations, including short-notice response to emerging operational issues
- Proven ability to influence business partners and supporting teams
- Ability to manage and analyze large amounts of data and metrics related to security performance

- A competitive salary of $140,000 - $160,000 per annum
