This Position Description outlines the general duties of a Protection Specialist. The specific tasks may vary depending on the role type and sector.

Salary Package

We offer a competitive salary package, including a sign-on bonus/incentive of $2,000 for new employees who join with a Baseline Clearance and upgrade to NV1 during their employment.

Job Description

The primary responsibility of this role is to provide a secure presence while remaining alert and focused. As part of our enthusiastic and customer-focused team, you will be responsible for providing exceptional customer service and building strong relationships with internal stakeholders.

Your key responsibilities will include:

  • Conducting regular patrols across the premises;
  • Unlocking and locking up the site as required;
  • Monitoring CCTV footage and responding to breach situations appropriately;
  • Directing roving security officers to respond to alarms and take action;
  • Using communication methods (e.g. radio, phone, log books) to report incidents and issues;
  • Maintaining logs and records of occurrences, completing necessary paperwork, and using computer terminals to input and retrieve data.

Requirements and Qualifications

To be successful in this role, you must:

  • Be an Australian Citizen;
  • Hold a current South Australian Security License;
  • Have a valid South Australian Driver's License;
  • Hold a Certificate II in Security Operations or higher;
  • Meet the requirements for NV1 Clearance, which we can support you through the process;
  • Be able to work in high-pressure environments;
  • Work on a 24/7 rotating roster;
  • Be over 18 years old.
