Job Summary:

NSW Government is seeking a skilled Child Protection Specialist to join its team. The ideal candidate will possess a strong background in social work, with expertise in child protection and family support. The role involves working with families to ensure the safety and well-being of children, while also developing and implementing strategies to prevent child abuse and neglect.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Respond to reports of child safety concerns and work with families to develop and implement safety plans
  • Conduct home visits and risk assessments to identify potential risks to child safety
  • Collaborate with other agencies and stakeholders to share information and coordinate responses to child safety concerns
  • Provide support and guidance to families to help them develop skills and strategies to keep their children safe
  • Participate in court processes, including the preparation of court documents and attendance at court
  • Engage in ongoing training and professional development to stay up-to-date with best practices in child protection

Requirements:
