Furnace Operator Role

As a Furnace Operator located in Augusta, you will introduce metal charges into the furnace using a mechanical charge conveyor and ensure furnaces operate in proper rotation.
- Set temperature settings based on jobs being run and add phos-copper to the furnace according to prescribed procedures.
- Log furnace charge data, monitor control panel readings, and maintain proper metal levels.
- Assist in repairing and rebuilding furnaces, perform routine repairs, pull samples for lab analysis, and pour wedge molds as scheduled.
