Job Title: Program Lead Delivery

We are seeking a seasoned leader to oversee the delivery of integrated works programs. This is an exciting opportunity for someone who thrives in a dynamic environment, working collaboratively with various stakeholders and teams.

About the Role

This full-time position involves leading a team of up to 16 members, ensuring the delivery of catchment and waterway maintenance, fire preparedness, prevention, and response activities. The successful candidate will be responsible for coordinating work activities and projects throughout the year, involving a range of stakeholders and customers.

During the fire season, residing within 50 minutes of the depot and participating in a fire response availability roster are mandatory. Additionally, the ability to balance priorities in an environment with competing objectives is essential.

Responsibilities
  • Establish and maintain collaborative relationships with team members, internal and external customers, and stakeholders.
  • Lead and supervise teams delivering catchment and waterway maintenance and fire preparedness and response activities.
  • Maintain General Fire Fighter accreditation and work towards Level 1 Fire Operations Officer qualification or commit to undertaking necessary training.
  • IDentify hazards, assess risks, and develop control measures.
  • Demonstrate strong communication and negotiation skills to ensure common understanding among stakeholders.
  • Promote exceptional customer service, balancing priorities in a competitive environment.
  • Meet specific requirements such as holding a trade or certificate qualification, relevant licenses and certificates, passing a Criminal record Check, Pre-Employment medical, Task-Based Assessment for Fitness, meeting response time for First Attack roster, and possessing a Victorian Driver's License.

This role is eligible for an operational vehicle under Melbourne Water Motor Vehicle policy and procedures.
