About the Role

We are seeking an experienced and dynamic Venue Operations Manager to lead our team at our seasonal pool in Nagambie. As a key member of our team, you will be responsible for ensuring the safety and well-being of visitors and employees, while also driving business success and delivering exceptional customer experiences.

Key Responsibilities
  • Operational Excellence: Ensure the smooth operation of the facility, including management of staff, resources, and budgets.
  • Customer Focus: Develop and implement strategies to deliver exceptional customer experiences, driving customer loyalty and retention.
  • Team Leadership: Coach and develop leaders to deliver on key performance indicators (KPIs), through engagement, performance planning, and individual development plans.
  • Financial Management: Achieve budgeted performance targets, while maintaining a high-value relationship with the local council.
  • Facilities Management: Maintain facilities to approved standards, in line with contract requirements.
About You

We are looking for a motivated and experienced leader who is passionate about leisure and customer service. You will have a proven track record of success in a similar role, with excellent communication and interpersonal skills. You will be able to articulate the link between employee engagement and exceptional business performance, and have a flair for positive influencing and negotiating win-win outcomes.

Essential Skills and Qualifications
  • Experience in managing or leading in similar leisure or aquatic facilities.
  • Highly developed communication skills with a flair for positive influencing and negotiating win-win outcomes.
  • Sound knowledge of health and safety legislation.
  • Experience in planning and execution of operational, financial, and people plans to achieve successful outcomes.
  • Current CPR Certificate.
  • Current First Aid Certificate (Level 2).
  • National Police Check.
  • Working with Vulnerable People.
  • Legal working rights in Australia.
  • Current Pool Operations Certificate is not essential but highly regarded.
  • Pool Lifeguard Certificate (or ability to successfully complete the course).
