Global Special Managed Account Portfolio Manager

The role will support the deployment, management and growth of the portfolio and our strategy. Key responsibilities include managing a portfolio of assets located across global jurisdictions that deliver positive environmental outcomes and financial returns.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Oversight of strategic and operational activities to optimise financial, operational, environmental, social and governance outcomes.
  • Sourcing, due diligence, legal review, financial modelling and ownership transition for capital deployment.
  • Leadership of a cross-functional team to meet objectives and ensure high levels of well-being, morale, motivation and performance.
  • Integration of company investee company reporting to meet information requirements.
  • Contribution to global advocacy of the brand and investment strategy, influencing key stakeholders in pursuit of corporate objectives.
Requirements:
  • Experience in fund portfolio management and real asset management.
  • Detailed understanding of economic, social, environmental and governance factors delivering value from investments.
  • Strong experience in strategic management of corporate plantation forestry operations, timber processing and associated financial modelling.
  • Commercial skills including contract management, negotiations and financial analysis.
  • Excellent stakeholder management skills including strong communication across a broad range of stakeholders.
  • Transaction identification, institutional investment frameworks and asset acquisition legal documentation and due diligence experience.
  • Tropical forestry operations and relevant tertiary qualifications highly regarded.
  • Operational performance and compliance to legal and third-party standards management experience.
  • Forest resource description, estate optimization and geographic information systems used to inform financial valuations and strategic plans experience beneficial.
  • Carbon modelling and voluntary carbon standards experience well regarded.
