The role involves delivering Allied Health support to participants in the community, contributing to improving lives of individuals with communication disorders and swallowing difficulties.
This position requires a dedicated professional to manage a caseload in the Gympie region. The opportunity allows for flexible calendar management, enabling you to start and finish your day from home.
About This Position- This is a Speech Pathologist role that will bring expertise and organisational skills to thrive.
- Conduct comprehensive assessments to diagnose speech, language, and swallowing disorders in patients of all ages.
- Develop and implement individualized treatment plans tailored to each patient's needs and goals.
- Provide therapy sessions to help patients improve their communication skills and overcome challenges.
- Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams to ensure holistic care for NDIS participants.
- Maintain accurate and detailed patient records, progress notes, and reports.
- Educate and support families and caregivers on communication strategies and techniques.
- Stay updated on the latest research and evidence-based practices in speech pathology.
- Participate in team meetings and contribute to the continuous improvement of services.
- Effectively manage caseloads and meet NDIS reporting requirements.
- Flexibility - Minimum 3 days pw or full time, choose the days that work best for you.

- Bachelor's or Master's degree in Speech Pathology from an accredited institution.
- Current registration with Speech Pathology Australia.
- Good knowledge of speech and language development, communication disorders, and treatment approaches.
- Experience working with diverse patient populations, including children and adults with disabilities.
- Familiarity with the National Disability Insurance Scheme (NDIS) and its processes.
- Excellent assessment, diagnostic, and treatment planning skills.
- Strong written and verbal communication skills for effective patient interaction and report writing.
- Proficiency in using assistive communication technologies and devices.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a multidisciplinary team.
- Valid driver's license and willingness to travel to provide home-based services when required.
