Job Title: Community Engagement Specialist

About the Role:

We are seeking a highly skilled and passionate professional to join our team as a Community Engagement Specialist. As a key member of the team, you will play a vital role in developing and maintaining effective relationships with key stakeholders, including government agencies, community partners, and referral sources.

The ideal candidate will have a strong understanding of disability employment services and the ability to generate referral pathways for people living with a disability across their service area. You will work closely with our learning and development team to ensure ongoing career development support.

  • Develop and maintain effective relationships with key stakeholders
  • Generate referral pathways for people living with a disability
  • Work closely with our learning and development team
  • Provide high-level communication skills and report writing
  • Collaborate with local, state, and federal government initiatives

Essential Criteria:

  • A working knowledge of The Disability Services Act and Disability Service Standards
  • A valid current driver's license
  • A valid comprehensive car insurance policy
  • A valid NDIS police and working with children check
  • Evidence of COVID-19 vaccination, including a booster

Desirable Criteria:

  • External relationships: based in the community, close collaboration and development and maintenance of key business relationships with employers and community organizations
  • Knowledge of or ability to acquire detailed knowledge of relevant industry standards and practices
  • Experience in or knowledge of disability employment services and/or employment services
